A long time has passed but we are long overdue an update! Firstly I wish former Vermin Racing Team driver Vyacheslav "Slava" Potapenko the best of luck in the International Online Championships. Although Vermin Racing is not taking part in the series, Slava has paid tribute to his old team by using a similar colour scheme of Vermin Racing (shown above). Slava is a very talented driver and with his excellent custom built racing simulator, I am sure he will do well in the league. Follow his progress on the Assetto Corsa forums, I will be cheering him on and I hope he has the best of luck.
So time for a long overdue update on Vermin Racing, well.. it's been over 4 years since I have been able to compete online myself, mainly down to time restrictions. My time is now split between doing Artwork (with Vermin Art) and general life. However this never means that Vermin Racing Team is defunct... I am always looking to support other drivers start out their careers and race in Assetto Corsa (and other simulations) with guidance, assistance and support from Vermin Racing, Which would mean custom Vermin Racing liveries and Helmet designs for each driver, any help I can provide with my knowledge of setups and racing.
There have been a couple of occasions where I nearly returned to racing online with Vermin Racing over the last couple of years. But each time something else became a hurdle... Luckily I have been able to avoid going crazy and still do as much real track and go karting as possilbe! I recently tried to run some laptimes in AC, however it looks like my racing steering wheel and pedals have broken in storage. After plugging in the hardware, nothing would work sadly. So I am unable to race until I get a new Steering Wheel anyway but I am happy to just be in a management/technical role instead of driving currently.
I might not update the site as regularly as I should, but Vermin Racing has been in longer hiatus' before so you never know what might happen in the future. If there was more interest and possible investment in the team, there would be a lot more activity, but in the mean time tk
At least in the downtime I have managed to get on track in real life. Having some fun with a little friendly go-karting championship between family and friends at Clay Pigeon raceway, I stuck a camera on top of my helmet for another track day at Castle Combe, which you can watch here:

I have also been introducing members of my extended family to the joys of racing things. Paying for some experiences for my Fiancees daughter's boyfriend to go Go-karting and next month will see my Fiancee's nephew racing for the first ever time in a go kart... So racing, be it real life or simulated is still a huge part of my life and hobbies. Just unfortunate that I can't find a way of incorporating it more into my everyday life.
So... all that being said, that closes up the update for now. I will try to update again when I can.
Keep safe and keep racing!
