After recovering from endurance karting at thruxton (more on that below), I have been slowly improving the website.
The plan is to revamp the layout and clean up sections, archiving results and videos for Netkar into a place where all that can be seen easily without having to trawl through the website. The main focus of the site moving to Assetto Corsa for the time being as I work on the livery for 2015 and continue testing the builds. Hopefully within the next week or two I will have made a decision on adding RaceRoom to the Vermin Racing sim list. I think it will provide a larger and more accessible sim for people to race with, whilst Assetto Corsa would remain the top flight side of Vermin Racing.
It's something I need to look into and hopefully find other drivers who would be interested in racing for Vermin Racing in RaceRoom.
The livery update has been taking a break this week as I have been pretty busy with other things but there are now 3 cars that sport the 2015 livery, The Formula Abarth, McLaren and the Zonda. I am currently working on the BMW GT and will then start work on the Lotus 125 or whatever it is called (The modern F1 one). The livery won't be available until at least december anyway.

So how did the real life karting go? Well it was great fun, as a team we did a good job considering how long it has been since any of us did karting. With two of our team having raced previously at the track and myself and another completely new to it we put in a respectable performance. I only managed to get 3 practice laps before I had to line the kart up on the grid ready for our first driver to take to the track. 4 drivers, 6 driver changes and 2 hours later the race was over, having each roughly covered 30 laps between us and 101 laps in total compared to the eventual winners 109 laps it was a decent display. We had very consistent lap times towards the end and I was surprised to get just a second off the laptimes put in by the drivers who had done it before on our team, with each lap I was getting faster and faster so maybe some more laps I would have equalled those times. Still it was excellent fun and I reccommend Thruxton karting circuit to anyone who loves a technically challenging track. On a side note when I returned home and had a look at my helmet I noticed a big lump of melted rubber on it (pic below) which quite amused me for some strange reason.
