With 2013 drawing to a close, Vermin Racing will be releasing it's new livery soon, this will be the last year of Netkar Pro skins and the first of Assetto Corsa. Why the cross over period? Well as Assetto Corsa has only just come out as a beta release there is no support for Multiplayer and who knows when it will be introduced into AC, so for the time being the racing will be with Netkar.
About the new livery, not straying too far from the 2013 version the 2014 livery is mostly black with flashes of silver/white and neon green. The car looks quite bare without major sponsorship, Vermin Art remains the main sponsor on the side pods/doors and will be added to the wing. The livery will no doubt evolve before being finalized and put out as a package installer. Below you can see some close up shots of the livery in Assetto Corsa and Netkar.

| Assetto Corsa First Impressions It feels great to drive with all the aids turned off. Being a single seater kinda guy, I had a blast with the Lotus 49 and the formula Abarth (even managed to skin that car with Vermin Racing team colours already which I was quite chuffed about). I like the way the cars feel, I think its probably the first sim since GP2 that has made me go "wow this feels like a big leap". The force feedback is good (at least on my ancient sidewinder wheel...yes I know...one of these days I will get something better :P), love riding the bumps on the old monza circuit, takes me back to GPL. The complaint I have is that the road and tin top cars don't feel quite there in terms of handling. I don't know if it's just how I like a bit of oversteer in a car, but they feel like they have a bit too much understeer, especially the KTM X-BOW R with the default setup, that has massive amounts of understeer resulting in hardly making any corners in that thing. Perhaps it's just me and I need to drive it more often to get into it. But being a beta, it will hopefully just get better and better. Just hope the multiplayer comes soon and works properly. |
Finally... Onto the Netkar Highlights video
